Daniel arrived here at about 7:00 Sunday evening. It has been been unusually cold here, the lows for the last 2 nights were 23 and 21. The electric heater died during the night Sunday. This morning (Monday) we drove into Yucca Valley for a new heater and groceries. When we got home Dan used my mountain bike and we rode to park HQ and then home through town. I changed into walking duds and we walked the Bagdad Highway Loop getting home just about dark. I made fried chicken and rice with veggies for dinner. Good! The possibility exists for snow showers tomorrow when the real cold arrives from Alaska.
