A very pleasant ride with Fonda and Ed, a couple who are spending a week here on their way home to Groveland after two years on the road in their motor home. I met them when they were scouting this end of the park for a shady site to spend their week in. They ended up staying where they had spent the first night, at the east end of the park because the liked the view better. We have run into each other several times and established a nice easy friendship.

Since F&E had not done any biking for some time we set out on my usual route to the airport with the idea that we could take one of several escapes and make the ride 6, 8, 10, 14, 22 or more miles in length. As Ed is recovering from some health challenges he wisely took the first out and came back to the park at 6 miles. Fonda and I continued and completed the 14 mile Pinto Mt. Road loop. It was a beautiful afternoon and Fonda and I had a nice conversation as we cruised along. I have never taken such a relaxed ride on this route and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Update: Took a quick evening ride around the area to burn a few extra calories so I do not blow up MyFitnessPal with an excessively large overage.
